Overview
SmartLine AI is a compact autonomous line-marking robot that uses RTK GPS, a camera and an NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano to mark football, cricket, baseball and rugby fields with ±1 cm precision. Select a field template, press start, and it plans, paints and returns to charge — replacing hours of manual string-and-wheel marking.
The problem
Groundskeepers at schools, clubs and municipalities spend hours every week marking fields by hand with strings, tapes and push markers. Results vary, paint is wasted, and staff time is expensive. Larger robotic markers exist but are costly and bulky for smaller facilities.
Repaint existing lines automatically, following the previous marks with camera guidance.
Mark a full football or rugby pitch from a template in minutes, aligned to RTK coordinates.
Switch between football, cricket, baseball and athletics layouts on the same grounds.
Free groundskeepers from manual marking across many sites.
Mark logos, event zones and temporary layouts accurately.
The robot scans the field with its camera and RTK GPS to detect boundaries and existing lines.
AI generates an accurate line plan from your chosen template and field dimensions.
The robot drives the plan and sprays lines with ±1 cm precision, avoiding obstacles.
Progress, paint level and battery are shown live in the app.
When finished, SmartLine returns to its base for charging and storage.
In the app
The SmartLine app lets you choose a field, place it on a satellite map, start marking and monitor progress from your phone.

Yes. The $49 deposit is fully refundable any time before your unit ships — email hello@iemilabs.com or use the refund link in your confirmation email. It is credited in full against the purchase price, and reserving creates no obligation to buy. Payments are processed securely by Stripe.
Navigation and obstacle detection run on the robot. Camera images are used only for driving and are not stored or uploaded; only job progress and telemetry are sent to the app.
No. SmartLine uses network RTK corrections (NTRIP) over LTE in most regions. A portable base station option is planned for areas without coverage.
SmartLine detects people and objects and stops or reroutes. It also has physical bumpers and an emergency stop, and is designed to be supervised from the app.
Standard water-based field-marking paint, mixed to your usual ratio.
SmartLine AI is in development. Specifications shown are target specifications and may change as we complete engineering validation. We are targeting a Q4 2027 ship window and will email reservation holders with every major milestone.
We are planning a 2-year limited hardware warranty covering manufacturing defects, with advance replacement for pilot and business customers. Final warranty terms will be published before shipping begins.
